Tuna is from a very diverse family of fish that has become one of the most valued and desirable fish in the world. It has a delicious taste, global availability, and healthy components that makes it an ideal replacement for red meat or for the people who like to add some healthy variety to their diets. Tuna belongs to the same family of fish as bonito and albacore, which is commonly called the mackerel. - 1 Romaine lettuce (leaves must be torn)
- 200g Cherry tomatoes (halved)
- 1 small red onion (halved & thinly sliced)
- 1 English cucumber (cut into 2cm cubes)
- 1 big pepper, cut into 2cm cubes
- 2/3 cup feta
- 2/3 cup pitted black olives
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh oregano
- 2 cans of tuna in oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- Crusty bread, to serve
You just need to place the lettuce, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, capsicum, feta, olives and oregano in a large bowl.
Then, add undrained tuna, drizzle with vinegar, season with pepper and toss gently to combine.
You can now serve your salad !
