Asparagus is a very good source of vitamin K, folate, copper, selenium, vitamin B2, vitamin C, andvitamin E. This green vegetable is an excellent source of dietary fiber, manganese, phosphorus, niacin, potassium,choline, vitamin A, zinc, iron, protein, vitamin B6, and pantothenic acid as well.
- 3 tablespoons margarine
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus
- 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
- Start by melting margarine in a large skillet over medium-high heat
- Then,add the garlic and asparagus spears; cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally or until asparagus is tender.
Note: If you like your asparagus well done, reduce heat and cook an additional 10 minutes.
