Skillet Lemon Chicken Piccata

Lemons are packed with healthy properties, and above all, they are a great sources of vitamin C. A single cup of fresh lemon juice provides 187 % of a person’s daily recommended serving of vitamin C. Lemon juice also provides a healthy serving of potassium, magnesium and copper.


  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 bone in & skin on chicken thighs
  • kosher salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoon capers
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish


  1. In a large skillet over medium to high heat, start to heat oil
  2. Then, season chicken with salt and pepper and cook chicken thighs until they become golden (8 minutes per side approximately)
  3. Transfer the chicken thighs to a plate and discard half the chicken juices from skillet, then reduce heat to low
  4. To skillet, you should add garlic, butter, white wine, lemon juice, and capers before bringing to a simmer
  5. Add lemon slices and then return chicken thighs to skillet
  6. Let your chicken simmer in sauce for 5 minutes, before you can garnish with parsley and serve.
